Indian Railways is one of the largest railway networks in the world. It is one of the world’s largest railway network consists of freight, passengers, tourist, Suburban rail systems, toy train and luxury trains. Our railways have changed in the past few years . Focus has been given to improve amenities, infrastructure and passenger experience along with adding new trains and facilities. Many new trains have been launched that changed the face of Indian Railways.
Below are these five high-speed and express trains launched in the last four years:
The train has got all the ultra-modern amenities like on-board infotainment, wi-fi, CCTV, fire and smoke detection facilities, tea and coffee vending machine etc. The high-speed train has all the safety measures like suppression system, fire suppression system, smoke detection and fire detection.
The Humsafar coaches have mobile charging points and reading lights for each passenger along with easy upper berth climbing arrangement. The coaches also have facilities like baby nappy changing pads, and tea and coffeemakers. The coaches of Humsafar Express has a heating chamber and a refrigerating box to preserve food brought from home. The first Humsafar train was launched on December 16 last year between Gorakhpur and Anand Vihar.
Utkrisht Double Decker Air-Conditioned Yatri Express is equipped with a slew of new features such as automatic food-vending machines, with pre-cooked and preheated food, tea-coffee vending machines, in every coach.
Comfortable reclining chairs and adequate leg space so that passengers can sleep peacefully. The chair-car train also has anti-graffiti vinyl wrapping, a mini pantry, diffused LED lighting, and LCD screens.
It is equipped with anti-graffiti vinyl, on the exteriors, to give a bright, cheerful look.
Vistadome Coach train
One of the stand-out features of the Vistadome coaches is the glass roof that boasts electrically controlled opalescence. Hence, the roof can be made transparent for the passengers to get a panoramic view of their journeys. Some other key features of the fully AC coach are 360 degrees rotatable double-wide reclining seats, hanging LCD, mini-pantry, service station with aircraft-type food trolley, mini fridge, automatic sliding compartment doors and bio-vacuum toilets.
The first Mahamana Express was unveiled as part of Railways’ Model Rake Project in 2016 running between Varanasi – New Delhi.
The train features ergonomically designed ladders, snack table for side birth, venetian and roller blinds instead of conventional window curtains, revamped toilets fitted with odour control system, exhaust fans, LED lights, dustbins, bigger mirrors , LED berth indicators, more charging points, fire extinguisher, electric chimney in pantry car and controlled discharged water tap.
