The 65th National Film Awards were announced on Friday, 13 April. National Film Awards are the oldest prizes of India given in the field of films and these are being given since 1954. The awards are given in three volumes – feature film, non-feature film and excellent writing on cinema. The National Film awards were announced by Shekhar Kapur, the head of the Jury for feature films, on Friday.
