Bigg Boss 12 contestant & Bhajan singer Anup Jalota, who got evicted over the weekend, shocked everyone with his statement on his rumoured relationship with Jasleen Matharu, also his student. Contrary to the reports, Anup Jalota said that “there is no girlfriend-boyfriend kind of a relationship between them,”
The devotional singer has gone ahead and said that he was “used” by Jasleen to get popular. He had earlier said Jasleen Matharu did so at the behest of Bigg Boss makers.
In an interview to Spotboye.com, Anup Jalota said that it was Jasleen who was supposed to enter the Bigg Boss house and her father requested him to go as his jodi in purely teacher-pupil capacity. The decision to showcase the relationship as a romance was Jasleen’s, claimed Anup.
Accusing Jasleen of using him, Anup said “She wanted to ride on my popularity— which she did. I am a very positive person and I feel if I can help someone, I should. If she has used me for the platform, I am happy that she succeeded in doing that.” However, when Jasleen’s father asked Anup Jalota about the truth of their relationship, the singer made it clear that it was the decision of his own daughter. To this, her father replied “Let her come out of the house, I will teach her a lesson.”
On the show, the celebrities announced that they have been in a romantic relationship for three and a half years. And now that Anup is out of the show, he claims that there is no love between the two, and this development has left Jasleen worried. On Tuesday’s episode, Shilpa Shinde entered Bigg Boss 12 and confronted Jasleen over her affair. She also told Jasleen that Anup has been telling the media that it’s only a musical relationship between them. The singer-actor was later seen talking to housemates about how she is disturbed by what has transpired outside. While Jasleen said that she would deal with her angry father, she was shocked that Anup dismissed their relationship.
On the other hand, before entering the show, Jasleen had told Indian Express, “We have been together for more than three years now. More than love, there’s a lot of respect that we have for each other. People don’t know about her relationship and it might come as a shock to many. But I am prepared to face all criticism. I know for a fact that even the housemates will target us. They will bitch about us and call us names but it’s a pure bond that we share. I can only hope that we get some sensible people in the house who understand our bond.”
Whoever said love is easy has never been to the Bigg Boss house.
