Critically acclaimed actor and director Neeraj Vora died on 14 December due to long-term illness. Neeraj was battling coma since he suffered a heart attack followed by a brain stroke in October 2016.
He is known for films such as “Satya”, “Phir Hera Pheri” “Welcome Back”, “Company”, “Pukar”, “Rangeela” and “Daud” and is one of Indian film industry’s most popular actors.

His was a prolific tar shehnai player and passed away in 2005, a year before that his wife passed away. Neeraj’s mother Premila Ben died in 2014. He had no children.
Entry into Films
He was born in a Gujarati family and “Golmaal: Fun Unlimited”, was based on the Gujarati play “Aflatoon” by Mihir Bhuta and Neeraj who adapted from it from Harsh Shivsharan’s original Marathi play “Ghar-Ghar”
“Khiladi 420” and “Phir Hera Pheri” were his directional projects. This is so unfortunate to know that he was to direct “Hera Pheri III”, but after he suffered a stroke in October 2016, everything changed.
He will always be remembered for his movies like Virasat, Mann, Baadshah, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Satya, Rangeela, Pukar, Company, Daud: Fun on the Run, Dhadkan, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Hello Brother and Pukar.
