Salman Khan is apparently not happy with Priyanka Chopra walking out of Bharat (Movie) at the last moment. Rumours have it that Priyanka Chopra’s decision has left him feeling super angry and he has apparently decided to not work with her again.
In cryptic words, he has expressed his disappointment towards the actress’ decision. On Tuesday, Salman Khan and the makers launched Bigg Boss 12 in Goa. During the media interaction, the inevitable questions about Priyanka’s exit popped up and the Race 3 actor didn’t even try to dodge them.
Maintaining his calm persona he said-
“It was sweet of her to tell us five days before the shoot that she couldn’t do ‘Bharat’. I’m glad Katrina is part of the film. She was Atul’s (producer) first choice. But Priyanka called Ali and said she wanted to do Bharat, so we considered her.”
Journalists asked Salman if he was indeed upset with Priyanka. Shaking his head in disagreement, Salman said, “No no, I am not angry with Priyanka at all. It’s great move in her life (engagement with Nick) and I wish them all the best. Arpita (his sister) had even attended the functions. So, there’s no hard feelings.”
Salman was speaking at the Bigg Boss 12 press conference in Goa, where he insisted yet again that Priyanka’s decision hasn’t really affected the equation between the two stars, reported Indian Express.
“It was sweet of her to tell us five days before the shoot that she couldn’t do ‘Bharat’,” Salman said.
“I hope the other movie (Cowboy Ninja Viking) that she has signed, works out. Now that she is engaged, we are happy for her. I hope she gets married soon, has children and lives happily ever after,” he added.
Priyanka opted out of Bharat due to her engagement with American singer Nick Jonas. Soon after her exit, Katrina Kaif came on board the project.
“I’m glad Katrina is part of the film. She was Atul’s (Agnihotri, producer) first choice. But Priyanka called Ali (Abbas Zafar, director) and said she wanted to do Bharat, so we considered her,” Salman said.
Bharat is an official adaptation of the South Korean film – Ode To My Father, which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man and events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War.
Produced by Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film is slated for Eid release next year.
Did he just make a revelation that none of us knew about?
