A picture of a doll modelled on Saif Ali Khan’s son Taimur Ali Khan went viral after producer Ashvini Yardi shared it from Kerala on her Twitter handle.
Producer Ashwini Yardi shared a photo of the same stating how a Kerala store has been selling this Taimur-styled doll. The doll of the blue-eyed prince of the Pataudi royal family is wearing a kurta-pyjama and a Nehru jacket. With thick, curly brown hair, the doll bears an uncanny resemblance to the toddler.

‘Adorable’ or next level creepy is something that people on Twitter cannot decide ever since the photo of this doll has gone viral.
HT got in touch with Saif for a response, and it left all in splits. He exclusively told HT, “Maybe I should trademark his name…The least they could do is send me one!” On a serious note, he wasn’t disgruntled that people are cashing in on Taimur’s popularity. “I am glad people are benefiting from him. I only ask God for his safety and happiness in return,” he added. Such a cool dad!
Here’s What Bebo Has To Say
In interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Bebo admitted how she didn’t know how to react looking at the doll at first as she said, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.”
Since December 20, 2016, when Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their first child, Taimur has been a constant in news from Bollywood. What began as a furore over his name (Taimur shares his name with the famous Turco-Mongol emperor Amir Taimur, better known as Timur The Lame), soon made way for a national obsession.
A doll that looks like Taimur is probably something even his parents wouldn’t have been able to imagine. And you thought Barbie was the most famous doll around?
