Home Remedy 1. Cinnamon Mouthwash
Cinnamon freshen-up your breath by removing bad breath. Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and crushed cardamom in 1 cup of water. Boil it for 10 minutes and strain the mix. Use it to rinse your mouth twice daily.
You can also mix half teaspoon each of cinnamon powder and baking soda, 1 ½ teaspoons of honey and lemon juice in 1 cup of warm water. Stir well and pour it in an airtight jar. Use 2 tablespoons to gargle for a minute.
Home Remedy 2. Lemon or orange peel:
This home remedy effectively prevents bad breath. Take peels of orange or lemon and wash it thoroughly. Now chew it for some time.
Lemon and orange peels contain citric content which fights bad breath. Chewing their peels will increase the production of saliva in the mouth and provide vitamin C and citric acid to fight bacteria.
Home Remedy 3. Chew on some mint leaves
Chewing fresh mint leaves is a great remedy to treat bad breath. This natural remedy has been around for centuries, and can remove the smell of strongly flavored food like garlic and onions. Just chew few fresh mint leaves and it will help cure your bad breath.
Another way is to put mint leaves through a juicer and sip the juice anytime you need to refresh your breath. Doing this will also aid digestion.
Home Remedy 4. Cloves
This is a miracle spice which contains oils that have antiseptic properties and anti-microbial effects. All you have to do is chew 2 pieces after meals. This will remove bad breath in a few minutes.
Another option is boil 1 cup of water and add three cloves. Allow it to simmer for 20 minutes and stir occasionally. Now, strain the tea and drink regularly.
