Breakfast is very important for your health and this is why doctors and dietitians advise all people to never skip their breakfast in the morning. This is the most important meal of the day by which you can keep yourself healthy.
If you take breakfast every day and eat some nutritious diet instead of eating anything, then you will notice a visible healthy change in your body. In today’s hectic life, people have less time to think about what to eat and what not to eat in breakfast.
Here are foods you need to avoid in breakfast.
Never eat bread and foods that are prepared from white / refined flour
If you eat foods prepared from white flour at start of the day, then you are not doing justice with your body. You can eat whole-grain breads (Without yeast). These are a good source of iron, magnesium and selenium.
Say no to sugar rich items
To maintain health, you need to reduce the extra sweet in the morning breakfast. Avoid sugar and foods such as donuts, sweets, pastries, packed juice and sugary cereals.
Replace the sugar-rich items with high fiber and less sweet substances. You need energy in the morning, not a “sugar crash”, so, the use of less sugar is a better option for breakfast.
Avoid fermented milk products
Eating fermented milk products such as yogurt, acidophilus milk, cultured buttermilk, sour cream and cheese should be avoided in morning.
These items forms hydrochloric acid in our empty stomach which kills the lactic acid bacteria present in these milk products and leads to acidity.
Though yogurt, other cultured or fermented dairy products provide a wealth of probiotics but when consumed on an empty stomach, the hydrochloric acid content quickly destroys the healthy bacteria.
Don’t eat leftovers in breakfast
Many times we make breakfast at night and eat it hot in morning. But doing so is very harmful for our body. Always prepare fresh breakfast. At last but not the least, never skip your breakfast.
