Who does not like a good sleep? In today’s busy and 24×7 lifestyle, people sleep with heavy difficulty. This is a problem that every person who is usually living in urban lifestyle is battling. This is the specialty of the human body that the tiredness of whole day is repaired in the night time sleep. Every year millions of road accidents happen due to drivers who do not take sufficient sleep.

World Sleep Day is an annual event that raises awareness on important issues related to sleep, including medicine, education, social aspects and driving. It is organized by the World Sleep Day Committee.  On World Sleep Day (March 16),  we bring you some tips to improve your  sleeping habits.

1) Say bye-bye to long sleep

Whenever you get a chance to sleep, it does not mean that you can sleep for long time. It can disturb your night sleep.

2) Tea, coffee or energy drink

Many people consume tea or coffee before sleeping. Hot milk is also helpful in bringing good sleep, but with that it is necessary to take care of what you eat and drink in the afternoon. It would be better not to drink any energy drink after noon. A cup of tea can be beneficial for you at four o’clock in the evening.

3) Light food before sleeping

Never go to bed right after eating food. Along with this, take a light meal for a good night’s sleep. More food also creates problems for good sleep. At dinner, pasta, green vegetable, tomato soup, chicken etc. are beneficial for good sleep.

4) Little alcohol before ‘sleeping’

Wines or alcohol reduces your stress level after a full day’s fatigue and light meal at night. It helps a lot for deep sleep.

6) Yoga or exercise before sleeping

Yoga prior to gold or less tedious exercise or stretching can be beneficial for you. You can also meditate to calm your mind during this time.

7) Room lights

Everyone can have their own convenience with sleep and light. But the best would be to keep the yellow light in the room. If you prefer to read and read a book, do not place high light bulbs in table lights.

8) Phone and TV

As far as possible don’t watch TV and phone before sleeping. Many times people give time on the phone, after which their sleep goes away.

9) Lock the bedroom properly

Lock the bedroom properly before sleeping. Not because no one will come in your room, but because doing so makes the mind calm and comes to rest.

10) Do not think too much before sleeping

Many people start thinking about the events and things of the day after going to bed. This is wrong. by doing so you start to get involved in questions and things. Avoid this. Keep your mind calm for the next day.
