People have hardly seen UP Chief Minister cry but after one of the worst terror attacks in Pulwama (Kashmir), Yogi could not stop his tears while talking about CRPFs, martyrs and their family.

During an interaction with engineering students from a college in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath got emotional and shed tears while speaking about the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack.

While speaking about the families of martyrs he said terrorism cannot be tolerated and must be eliminated soon. He also said that it is fine to take steps to eliminate terrorism but Pakistan must be given a befitting reply.

He also spoke about the operation in Uttar Pradesh by the state Anti-Terrorism Squad where it arrested several students including two suspected terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed.

“We received some inputs on links to the Pulwama incident based on which we carried a operation Thursday night. Terrorism’s final days are coming and Modiji will ensure that terrorism will end in the country,” he said.

Earlier on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh ATS arrested two suspected Jaish terrorists. They are suspected to be recruiters for Jaish-e-Mohammed. The DIG from UP ATS, OP Singh, during a press conference said that the two terrorists were living as students.

“We got the information that some suspected terrorists were staying in the pretext of being students. We sent IG ATS there and in the operation we have nabbed two suspects. They are associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. Their names are Shahnawaz who is from Kulgam, and Aqeeb Ahmed Malik from Pulwama. Shahnawaz is an active member of Jaish-e-Mohammed. They were tasked with recruiting for JeM,” he said.

The CM blamed Congress for growth of terrorism

The UP CM on Wednesday had blamed the Congress’ “appeasement policies” for the “growth of terrorism” in the country and asserted that the BJP will never compromise the country’s security.

Stressing that the saffron party will put an end to the appeasement politics, he called upon people to ensure that Narendra Modi is re-elected as the country’s prime minister in the coming Lok Sabha polls as only he can defeat Pakistan backed violence.

“The previous Congress government’s had sowed the seeds of appeasement which led to the growth of terrorism in the country,” Adityanath said while addressing BJP workers meeting at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and Nachuni in Khurda district.

The February 14 attack on the CRPF convoy has changed the dynamics of militancy in the Kashmir Valley.

At least 44 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the 14th of February.

A 22-year-old Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar was identified as the suicide bomber who carried out the attack. Accused of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks the state has ever witnessed, Dar lived just 10 kilometres away from the attack spot in Gundibagh.
