Hours after the EC’s action against Yogi Adityanath, Azam Khan, Maneka Gandhi and Mayawati, the BSP candidate form Fatehpur Sikri, Guddu Pandit alias Bhagwan Sharma, launched a diatribe against UPCC President Raj Babbar who is also contesting on Fatehpur Sikri seat.

This is another low in the series of gaali politics during the ongoing 2019 Lok Sabha Elections as Shree Bhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit, BSP’s candidate from Fatehpur Sikri, has threatened to “thrash” Congress leader Raj Babbar and his supporters if they spread false information.

Mr Pandit, while referring to Mr Babbar’s supporters as “dogs”, was heard saying that he would boot the Congress leader and his “middlemen” if they spread lies among the public.

“Sunn lo Raj Babbar ke kutton, tumko aur tumare neta nachaniya ko dauda dauda kar jooton se maarunga. Jo jhoot faelaya samaaj mein. Jahan milega, Ganga maa ki saugandh tujhe jooton se maarunga, tujhe aur tere dalaalon ko,” he told a news channel.

The statement has gone viral on the social media and the Congress has asked the EC to take cognizance of the statement.

Meanwhile, Guddu Pandit seems unrepentant about his behaviour. When a group of journalists met him on Tuesday morning, he repeated his statement against Raj Babbar.

In the run-up to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Pandit has been booked over four times on account of model code of conduct violations.

The BSP leader had won from Dibai constituency in the 2007 Assembly elections in the state. However, he joined Samajwadi Party (SP) in 2012 and re-contested from the seat.

Pandit was later expelled from SP along with his brother Mukesh Sharma for going against his party’s whip, following which he joined the BSP again.

According to the affidavit filed by Pandit, there are seven criminal cases filed against him, including extortion.

Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh are being held from April 11 and will go on till May 19 in all seven phases. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
