The truck bombing near presidential palace area has killed at least 80 and more than 400 wounded. the death toll may rise as it is the bloodiest attack in long Afghan war.
The blast in the morning rush hour caused panic in central Kabul city.Bodies littered the scene and a towering plume of smoke rose from the area, which houses foreign embassies, after the blast blew out the windows in several missions and residences hundreds of metres away.
A suicide bomber detonated explosives-packed truck in Zanbaq Square around 08:30 am. More than 50 vehicles were either destroyed or damaged. Witnesses said they could see smoke even after hours of blast, and injured people being taken to hospital in ambulance. people were trying to cross security to search their loved ones.
