Justice Deepak Misra is the 45th Chief Justice of the country. Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, who has given several historic decisions, took over the post of Supreme Court judge on August 28 last year. Justice Dipak Misra was born on October 3, 1953. On 14 February 1977.
He started practicing advocacy at the Orissa High Court.
In 1996, he was made Additional Judge of the Orissa High Court.
In December 2009, he was made the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
Then on May 24, 2010, he was transferred to Delhi as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
Justice Dipak Misra’s name is included in judges who write history
On October 10, 2011, he was made the judge of the Supreme Court. When the Supreme Court was sitting in the night for the first time in Independent India, the bench, led by Justice Deepak Mishra, had heard the petition of the Mumbai blast convict Yakub Menon. Yakub’s application was rejected and then he was hanged in the early hours.

– May 3, 2017: Justice Deipak Misra upheld the constitutional validity of legal provision related to criminal defamation. He said that the idea of expression is not unlimited.
– November 30, 2016: In its historic judgment, a bench led by Supreme Court Justice Dipak Misra had said that the national anthem should be played before filming in cinema homes across the country and during this time all the people present in the cinema hall should stand. All the people must stand in honor of the national anthem.
– On December 5 this year, the bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra had upheld the conviction of the three convicts in the Nirbhaya Gang Rape case. In a decision, Misra had told the Delhi Police to upload the FIR to the website within 24 hours after its filing. Special Bench headed by Justice Deepak Mishra, who will hear the Ayodhya case.
– 27 March 218- A three-judge Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra ruled that Khap panchayats have no right to declare a marriage illegal. The top court noted that it is illegal for Khap panchayats to stop any marriage.
