Crossing all limits of verbal attacks, Congress leader and former MP Vijayashanti made a hugely controversial statement while attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Every person is scared of which bomb Modi will drop at which minute. He looks like a terrorist. Instead of loving people, he is scaring people. It’s not the way how a PM should be,” She said.
Vijayashanti, an actress-turned-politician, said this while referring to decisions like demonetisation. Rahul Gandhi was on the stage when Vijayashanti made the remarks at a rally in Shamshabad.
The BJP responded with a tweet from its official account.
Now Congress is truly raising concerns & worries of terrorists in Pakistan.
Welcome to New India.

Saying that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were essentially a battle between PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi at the rally, Vijayashanti also claimed the Congress chief was “fighting for the survival of democracy”, while the Prime Minister has “ruled like a dictator” during his tenure in a manner that has killed democracy and troubled the people.
“He wants to rule like that in the next five years, but people will not give him that opportunity,” the former parliamentarian said in Telugu.
On all fronts like demonetisation, the Goods and Services Tax, reclaiming black money and the Pulwama terror attack, he was ”scaring” people, Vijayashanti said.
She also said that a vote for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti or TRS would go to BJP as “Modi and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao are one.” Chief Minister Rao is extending support to the BJP as PM Modi had helped him win last year’s assembly elections in Telangana, she claimed.

Once a Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) leader, Vijayashanti was suspended from the party for indulging in “anti-party activities”, following which she joined Congress in February 2014.
She was an MLA from Medak seat till 2014, following which TRS chief and CM K Chandrashekar Rao won but later resigned, which necessitated the by-election. It is then that the popular south Indian actress of yesteryears fought on a Congress ticket and lost to TRS’s Kotha Prabhakar Reddy.
At the same rally, Rahul alleged that Modi was making “two Indias” – one for the poor and the other for wealthy and rich people.
“Since last five years, he [Modi] is making two Indias – one is of wealthy people like Anil Ambani who travel in private planes and achieve what they like. While in second India, farmers beg with folded hands for loan waiver while Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says that there is no policy of waving farm loans,” the Congress chief said.
He also claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is being “remote controlled” by PM Modi.
“KCR and his party [Telangana Rashtra Samithi] support BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in every decision in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. How many times has your chief minister commented on Rafale deal? Did he ever say that Narendra Modi has stolen Rs 30,000 crore of public money? Did he ever ask for any inquiry or investigation? Why not? Because he wants Narendra Modi to become the prime minister [again].”
