The three day historic visit to Israel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was concluded as he leaves for G20 summit in Germany. He not only created history not only as first Prime Minister to visit the country but also signing agreement between both nations and strengthening the bond. Let’s look at everything happened in Israel.

Day 1

On Tuesday, when Modi Reached Ben Gurion airport in Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came himself to welcome the Indian Prime Minister. Netanyahu welcomed Modi with grand ceremony and greeted, ” Aapka swagat hai mere dost.” Then from airport, they headed to Danzinger “Dan” Flower Farm. As a token of remembrance he was given a flower named after him.


Then he visited Yad Vashem, attended in memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance. After that an unscheduled stop was made at Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem to pay respect to modern zionism founder.

Day 2

Next day, Modi met President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and Tweeted :

Then both the Prime Ministers talked over the ties between two countries, addressed media for joint statement and made seven agreements over the issues like terrorism, agriculture, space, energy and water management. The step taken were to make India-Israel freindship stronger. PM Modi also met Moshe Holtzberg, the Israelian survivor of 26/11 terror attacks of Mumbai.


A Memorandum of understanding was signed for industrial R&D and Technical Innovation Fund worth $40 millions. Agriculture program of three years and technical fund for five years was launched. Later, Modi addressed Indian community in Israel at Tel Aviv, announcing direct flights connecting the countries. Modi also invided Israeli companis to participate in ‘Make in India’ initiative, talking about ease of business after GST.

Narendra modi also visited the Israel Museum with the Israeli PM Netanyahu.

Day 3

On last day of his trip, PM Narendra Modi along with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu paid homage to the Indian soldiers died in first world war in Haifa. Later both PM went for stroll on Dor Beach, seen enjoying light breeze.

Modi was given a demonstration of mobile seawater desalination unit at the beach.

After that Narendra Modi was invited for a luncheon with Indian and Israeli business leaders. He discussed about oppertunities in India for business and wide scope of India-Israel economic cooperation.

 

Lastly the Indian Prime Minister concluded his trip meeting Indian students at Tel Aviv.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu bid Modi farewell, presenting him a signed picture of both the Prime Ministers strolling on beach as gift of friendship. A ceremony at Ben Gurion International Airport was held to bid farewell to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Post the historic visit of Israel, Modi is scheduled to fly to Germany for G20 summit.
