Recently, Tripura and Meghalaya are fully coloured with bhagwa. Biplab dev now a new leader of ruling party and cornod Sangma from Meghalaya. Still, we are waiting for Nagaland. Here we are sharing about two new ladders of the northeastern state.

Biplab Deb, a young BJP leader with a background in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will be Tripura’s 10th chief minister. Tribal leader Jishnu Dev Varma has been named as his deputy, Union minister Nitin Gadkari announced on Tuesday.

Biplab Kumar Deb (born 1969) is an Indian politician from Tripura. He has been the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura since 7 January 2016. He led the BJP to victory in the 2018 Legislative Assembly Election, defeating Left Front government led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is going to take oath as the new 10th Chief Minister of Tripura.

Biplab Deb was born in Kakraban, Udaipur in the present-day Gomoti District of Tripura.[citation needed] His parents hailed from Kachua Upazila, Chandpur He was a former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer and previously campaigned in elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council.

 

On 8 August 2017 Biplab Deb helped bring about the defection of Indian National Congress MLAs led by Sudip Roy Barman to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He led the local BJP into the 2018 Legislative Assembly election, attempting to gain office after 25 years of Left Front rule. He also faced Communist Party of India (Marxist) youth leader Amol Chokroborty. Biplab Deb led a door to door campaign in his constituency with senior leader Sunil Deodhar.

2Conrod Sangma:-Meghalaya

National People’s Party leader Conrod Sangma will be the next Chief Minister of Meghalaya. Union minister and senior BJP leader K J Alphons informed media in Shillong that the Governor has invited Mr Sangma to take oath day after tomorrow. The Oath taking ceremony will be held in Shillong.

Mr Sangma has the support of 34 newly elected legislators including from the BJP, HSPDP, United Democratic Party, Peoples Democratic Front along with an Independent candidate. However, Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that more MLAs are likely to join them.

All these party leaders met Governor Ganga Prasad in Raj Bhawan this evening to stake claim to form the next government. NPP has won 19 seats in assembly polls. A former minister of Meghalaya, Conrod Sangma is the son of former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma. He is currently the Lok Sabha member from Tura constituency. He said development of the state will be his main priority. We spoke to senior BJP leader Nalin Kohli in Shillong on the formation of new government.
