BJP parliamentarian and blabbermouth, Sakshi Maharaj has again raised controversy after he made controversial statement on 2014 elections and Modi wave.

Speaking at Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, Maharaj said there would be no elections required after the 2019 elections thanks to the “Modi tsunami”.

According to ANI, Sakshi Maharaj said on Thursday in Unnao, “Modi naam ki tsunami hai. Desh mein jagriti aayi hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki iss chunav ke baad 2024 mein chunaav nahi hoga, kewal yahi chunav hai. Iss desh ke liye pratyashi jitwane ka kaam karenge.”

“(Modi is a tsunami that has brought awakening in the country. I believe there would be no elections in 2024 after this election is done. This is the ultimate election. Will work to make the hopefuls win.)”

Maharaj also declared, “the Hindus have awakened”.

In an apparent bid to add heft to his words, Maharaj claimed, “I am a sanyasi who can foresee the future”.

PM Modi is seeking a re-election in the Lok Sabha elections that commence on April 11. Results for the much-awaited election results will be declared on May 23, when the country will know its next PM.

Recently in a veiled threat to the BJP leadership, Sakshi Maharaj had warned his party that if he is not re-nominated from the seat, “the result may not be good” for the party this time. The 63-year-old saffron-clad lawmaker said he had written a letter to Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey in this regard on March 7, which has gone viral in social and electronic media.

“The result may not be good (for the BJP) if the party takes any decision (other than fielding me from Unnao),” the four-time Lok Sabha member said.

Replying to a question, the Lok Sabha MP expressed surprise over the leakage of the letter typed on his letterhead and said it should be probed how the letter was made public.  Also Read: Biggest Insult To Rahul Gandhi: BJP Leader Asks Questions About DNA

For uninitiated, Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi, popularly known as Sakshi Maharaj had won 2014 general elections from Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao. BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj on Wednesday (13 March 2019) said that he will vigorously campaign for the party even if he is denied a ticket for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Talking to the media here, he said, “I am certain I will get the ticket. However, if the party takes a different decision, I will still campaign for the party vigorously.”
