After India dropped 1000 kgs bombs on multiple Jaish launchpad destroying their training bases and killing over 300 terrorists in the Balakot district in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, a hopeless Pakistan not just rejected India’s claim of the air strike, but also their clueless Defence Minister and Foreign Minister statement embarrassing Imran Khan’s ‘Naya Pakistan’.
Pakistan Defence Minister Parvez Khattark and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi faced a tough time at their joint press conference in Islamabad on the Indian Air Force air strike at Balakot when Pakistani journalists asked them the reasons for the tardy response of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Mr Khattak told reporters the Pakistani air force was ready to repel the Indian attack. However, he explained “it was dark” at night. Yesterday’s Indian Air Force attack targeted a Jaish-e Mohammed terror training camp at Balakot in Pakistan.
“So they waited and now they have received clear directions.”
Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, next to him, added: “May I just add. The Pakistan Air Force was already air-bound. We were ready for all eventualities.”
Here is a viral video, which appears to be Pak government’s news briefing in Islamabad after India struck Pakistan, both Pak Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak and MEA Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pak Air forces were ready, as 12 IAF’s Mirage 2000 jets entered in LoC and dropped bombs on JeM terror bases, but ‘since it was dark they could assume the intensity of the attack’.
