Narendra Modi told the students how to deal with depression, and not fall prey to it. “In a nation like ours, the menace of depression is very worrying. We should talk openly, the more we talk about depression and mental health, it is better. We must always express, never suppress,” he said.
To the parents, he requested them to not impose their unfulfilled dreams and aspirations on the children and to not compare them with other kids, as that might create a negative effect. “Positive attitude of parents’ becomes a huge force in a child’s life,” he said. PM Modi told the students to pick out a career or subject that inspires them and underlined the scope of other subjects other than maths and science.
