Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday 19 March 2019 attacked BJP. On Day 2 of her ‘Ganga Yatra’, Congress general secretary reached Bhadohi and began her public interaction with a special ‘pooja’ at Sitamarhi Mandir.
Priyanka slammed the BJP leaders over their ‘70 saal’ rant

She also hit out at the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government over its law and order claims and said that, “’Report card, promotions, all of it sounds good but there’s nothing on ground, I’m meeting people everyday, all the people are in distress.” Gandhi was quoted as saying by news agency ANI in Bhadohi.
Her response to BJP’s Italy Jibe
When a reporter asked for her reaction on deputy CM Dinesh Sharma’s ‘Gandhi sibling on a picnic’ statement, the Congress leader said, “Well, I haven’t been to Italy in the last three to four years. I should go in fact to see my grandmother,” Gandhi remarked.
Priyanka said the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is planning to construct cow shelters for stray cattle, and talked of the loan waiver that the Congress governments in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have already given farmers.
Protest against Priyanka Vadra
On Monday, Gandhi kicked off her three-day ‘Ganga Yatra’ as a part of her campaign in UP, following which she met Bhadohi party workers the next day. The campaign will end in Varanasi.
Meanwhile, a group of lawyers on Monday handed a letter to the district magistrate, claiming that Priyanka should not be allowed to enter the Kashi Vishwanath temple as she is a Christian. The letter claimed that Priyanka was a Christian and she should be stopped from entering the temple, keeping in mind the ancient values of Sanatan Dharma. After the elections are over, they head towards Switzerland or Italy,” BJP leader and UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said. Polling will be held in seven phases in Uttar Pradesh from April 11 to May 19. Results will be announced on May 23.
