Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar came out in support of Pakistan PM Imran Khan, who addressed India over the Pulwama terror attack that took place on 14 February 2019.
Zafar took to Twitter to share the video of the speech and told his followers to listen to it ’without any ego.’ Those who don’t know him, we inform you that Ali Zafar has been a part of several Bollywood films like ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Dear Zindagi’, ‘Chashme Baddoor’, ‘Tere Bin Laden’, ‘Total Siyapaa’, and ‘Kill Dil’.
Taking to Twitter he wrote, “What a speech! @ImranKhanPTI” post which he tweeted another message which read as “Listen with an open heart and mind devoid of ego, bias or hatred. If can’t, listen again after a few days in a moment of peace.#love #peace # #humanity #togetherness above all. PM Imran Khan Address To The Nation”
Imran, in his nearly six minute-long speech, denied Pakistan’s involvement in the Pulwama attack. The Pakistan PM said that his country itself was a victim of terrorism and that 70,000 Pakistanis had lost their lives to that menace. He also warned India of retaliation if it launched an attack on Pakistan.

“You (India) have blamed the Pakistan government without any evidence…If you have any evidence, we will act,” Imran said.
“We have fought a war against terrorism for 15 years, 70,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives, terrorism is receding, peace and stability are returning… what benefit would we get from it,” the PM asked.
“If you think you will attack us and we will not think of retaliating…we will retaliate. We all know starting a war is in the hands of humans, where it will lead us only God knows. This issue should be solved through dialogue,” he added.
This didn’t seem to go down well with Indian’s and they took to their respective social media handles to slam Ali for supporting Imran Khan and Pakistan.
While some have warned him to not come back to India for work, there are others who have called him ‘namak haraam.’

Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-E-Mohammed earlier claimed responsibility for the Pulwama terror attack.
The February 14 attack on the CRPF convoy has changed the dynamics of militancy in the Kashmir Valley. At least 44 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the 14th of February.
A 22-year-old Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar was identified as the suicide bomber who carried out the attack. Accused of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks the state has ever witnessed, Dar lived just 10 kilometres away from the attack spot in Gundibagh.
