Congress President Rahul Gandhi is after PM Modi since few days alleging corruption and favouritism by the Prime Minister over Rafale deal.
Gandhi Sunday used a popular song from Bollywood blockbuster “Sholay” to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his “proximity” to industrialist Anil Ambani.
Mr Gandhi used the hit song, “Ye dosti hum nahin todenge”, from the film, using the pictures of Modi and Ambani, whose company, according to the Congress chief, had received the offset contract worth Rs. 30,000 crore in the Rafale deal.
The 17-second video uploaded on Gandhi’s Twitter handle only shows the smiling faces of Modi and Ambani with the song playing in the background.

Gandhi has been attacking the prime minister over alleged corruption and favouritism in the Rafale fighter jet deal with a French firm.
According to the Congress chief, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government has renegotiated the deal by leaving out the State-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which was set to get the offset contract as per the deal negotiated by the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
Rahul Gandhi is leaving no opportunity in being consistent in his attack against the Prime Minister in this issue and Rahul alleged that Rafale deal is given to Anil Ambani company, which is not having any experience in manufacturing planes or fighter planes.
The Congress president made the comment in reference to the controversy surrounding the Rafale jet deal in which he had alleged that a Rs. 30,000 crore contract was wrongly given to Reliance Defence to benefit Anil Ambani who, he claimed, was in debt of Rs. 45,000 crore.
Mr Gandhi had also alleged that Mr Ambani’s company didn’t have any experience in defence manufacturing and it was wrongly preferred over state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited which had expertise in the field.
Gandhi asked, “Narendra Modi bought 526 crore jet for 1600 crores bcause Narendra Modi wanted to put Rs 30 thousand crore in Anil Ambani’s pocket.
