At a recent meeting of the Food and Civil Supply Department in Rajasthan, something bizarre happened that left the officials embarrassed. Porn started playing at the video conference. Yes! You heard that right.
The meeting was chaired by Mugdha Sinha, the secretary of the department, at the NIC room in the secretariat on Monday.
“In the middle of the video conference, an obscene clip started playing on the screen. I immediately called the NIC director and asked him to probe the matter and give a report on this,” she told PTI.
Mugdha Sinha informed that nearly ten people, department officials and NIC representatives, were present in the room and district supply officers from all the 33 districts of the state were participating in the meeting through video conference. The video continued to play for around two minutes before the technical team stopped it in a hurry.
The meeting was held to review various schemes and programmes.
“Decision on the action will be taken on guilty personnel on the basis of NIC director’s report,” she said.
Rajasthan is in news for various reasons these days.
Recently, a resident doctor in Rajasthan came under scanner after he was videographed mercilessly thrashing what looks like a patient. The incident, according to news agency ANI, is from Sunday and took place at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College in Jaipur.
In the video, the resident doctor, who is wearing a blue shirt and a surgical mask, is seen throwing punches at a man wearing a white vest. After a point the man at the end of the doctor’s ire falls back on a hospital bed.
At this point, the doctor climbs on top of the bed, holds the man down and proceeds to slap him multiple times.
There are a few other doctors and patients present while the attack is taking place. However, none of them initially intervene.
Then, the man being slapped by the resident doctor starts kicking at which point some of the bystanders attempt to pin the man’s legs down to the bed, to prevent him from kicking.
Finally, one of the other doctors gathered around the bed steps in and gets the doctor in blue to back off. The resident doctor is seen pointing at the man wearing a white vest before walking away from the bed.
The particulars of what promoted the doctor to so mercilessly beat up the man are not clear. News agency ANI reported that Raghu Sharma, the health minister of Rajasthan, has sought a report.
