Another shocker came from BJP candidates, a party candidate Sanghmitra Maurya from Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun, courted fresh controversy after asking her supporters to opt for fake voting. This video can leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) red-faced.
The video of the same has gone viral on social media. She is seen asking people to resort to fake voting if the actual voters were unable to cast their votes.
Her statement is met with applause and laughter. She tells her supporters that all votes should be cast but if that doesn’t happen, she suggests fake voting is the go-to option.
“Fake voting happens everywhere, if you get a chance take advantage of the situation,” Maurya said in Hindi, amid cheers.
She then laughs and says not to do it.
“You can do it (cast fake votes) a little, secretively,” she said amidst peals of laughter from the crowd.
She later said that the video is cropped and edited.

She drew massive flak on Twitter for making such comments. Some netizens argued if the country has already entered the state of anarchy.
Last month, Sanghamitra Maurya had claimed that she would become a thug if anyone tried to bully the people of Budaun.
The Budaun Lok Sabha constituency will vote in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 23. Sanghmitra Maurya is contesting against the Samajwadi Party’s Dharmendra Yadav.
