On his 155th birth anniversary, we will tell you what we can learn from the life of Swami Vivekananda.
Never run away from your fear, face it
One most important thing we can learn from him is that instead of running away from fear, a person should face it.
Vivekananda once said – Always say, “I have no fear.” Tell this to everybody, “Have no fear”. Fear is death & sin, fear is hell, it is unrighteousness, fear is wrong life. All the negative thoughts & ideas that are in this world have proceeded from this evil spirit of fear. This fear alone has kept the sun, air and death in their respective places & functions, allowing none to escape from their bounds.”
Learn to live a simple life
Swami Vivekananda always taught people to lead a simple life. He always inspires others to stay away from physical means. According to him, in order to achieve something you must first abandon things and live a simple life. Materialistic thinking makes you greedy and distracts you from your goal.
Swami Vivekananda words- “Fill the brain with high thoughts, highest ideals place them day and night before you and out of that will come great work.”
Instead of running behind others, make your own way
Swami Vivekananda always used to say that you will find nothing by running behind others. Success comes only when you make your own path to reach your destination.
Swami Vivekananda words- “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life and think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success and that is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”
He always believed that everyone should contribute for the upliftment of society and society should also give something in some form.
Swami Vivekananda words- “The biggest secret of true success and true happiness is – the man or woman who asks for no return, the perfectly unselfish person, is the most successful.”
