Tej Pratap Yadav, RJD leader and elder son of former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, has written a cryptic message on Twitter that suggests he may not mend his relationship with his wife Aishwarya Rai from whom he has sought a divorce much to the chagrin of both families.
Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap filed for divorce with his wife Aishwarya Rai on November 2, barely six months after their marriage. He cited incompatibility and cruelty as grounds for seeking divorce.

Tej Pratap had married Aishwarya Rai, the daughter of RJD MLA Chandrika Rai and granddaughter of Daroga Prasad Rai, the former chief minister of Bihar. The wedding took place on May 12 this year in Patna.
Tej Pratap had told the media after filing the petition that his differences with his wife were “irreconcileable”.
“Our differences are irreconcilable. I had said this to my parents before the marriage was solemnized. But nobody listened to me then and nobody is listening to me now. Until they agree with me, how can I return home?” Tej Pratap said earlier this month.
Tej Pratap had said that Aishwarya was too modern for his simpleton heart. He had said that there was no point living a suffocating life.
Two days after filing his divorce, Tej Pratap said that his family was supporting Aishwarya and conspiring against him. Earlier, he also told reporters that he was just a pawn and was forced to marry Aishwarya against his wishes.
Tej Pratap’s younger brother Tejashwi Yadav recently said that he would not like to discuss Tej Pratap’s decision to divorce Aishwarya as it was not a matter of public interest. He stressed that the issue, which has caused much upheaval in the Yadav household, is a family matter and the family is capable of resolving it internally.
Aishwarya Rai who is a management graduate unlike her high school dropout husband has maintained a dignified silence
Unlike her husband Rai has not spoken anything over the entire episode even as Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD supremo’s younger son and political successor, has been expressing displeasure over the spotlight on what was essentially a marital dispute.
Rai is the daughter of RJD MLA Chandrika Rai and grandchild of former Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai. Her in-laws too, are said to be unhappy with the decision of her husband who had whined “I would not return home until my family members come in my support”.
