Fake news and rumors is centered around Pulwama martyrs continues to flood social media unabated.
Recently a 16 second controversial video of Yogi Adityanath went viral on social media which showed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister laughing with others in front of a coffin wrapped in the Indian flag. The video along with the claim is being circulated widely on Facebook as well as other social networking sites.
A Facebook page Awaaz tak posted this small video clip along with the claim in Hindi which reads: “Shaheed ke shav ke paas baith kar bilak bilak kar rote huye dekho Yogi Adityanath ko (Look at Yogi Adityanath sitting beside a martyr’s body and bursting into tears).” The video clip actually shows Yogi Adityanath giggling along with others.
Since the release the video is shared nearly 2000 times.

Many users shared the video with the same claim
However, the footage shared by the Facebook Page is from Martyr’s funeral but, it is from the funeral of former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister ND Tiwari which had caused a major embarrassment for the BJP. This viral video has nothing to do with the Pulwama martyrs.

The February 14 attack on the CRPF convoy has changed the dynamics of militancy in the Kashmir Valley. At least 44 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the 14th of February.
A 22-year-old Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar was identified as the suicide bomber who carried out the attack. Accused of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks the state has ever witnessed, Dar lived just 10 kilometres away from the attack spot in Gundibagh.
